TAKE THE CHURCH INTO THE STREETS
“Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you, and pray to the Lord on its behalf,
for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Jeremiah 29:7

Go & Pray is an ongoing invitation to take intentional prayer walks through Carpinteria—whether alone, with family, or with a group. These walks allow us to see our city with spiritual eyes and pray for its flourishing.
Like Paul in Athens (Acts 17:16), we want to observe, engage, and pray with purpose—asking God to move in our neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and in the hearts of our community.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Use Our Go & Pray Guides:
To help you pray with focus and intention, we’ve provided 8 different prayer guides below—each designed to walk you through various neighborhoods and key areas in Carpinteria with prayer prompts and insights. These guides will encourage you to pray blessing over our city, its people, and its future.
Go Alone or With Others:
Take a solo prayer walk or invite friends, family, or your home group. Plan a regular rhythm of prayer walks—weekly, monthly, or as you feel led.
Pray as You Walk:
Look around—what do you notice? Ask God to give you His eyes for the city—to see people, businesses, homes, and culture the way He does. Use the prayer prompts below or in the guides to help guide your time.
Be Present & Expectant:
Stop and pray at key locations—schools, parks, government buildings, neighborhoods. If an opportunity arises, bless someone with prayer, a kind word, or an invitation to church.
Share What You See & Hear:
If you feel led, snap a photo and post using #GoAndPray or share your experience with others in the church and with your pastors.
