TAKING THE CHURCH INTO THE STREETS
“Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you, and pray to the Lord on its behalf,
for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Jeremiah 29:7
for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Jeremiah 29:7
On February 23rd, instead of our regular Sunday gathering, we will be stepping into our calling as a sent people—walking the streets of Carpinteria in prayer and intercession.
Go & Pray Sunday is more than an event; it’s a kingdom mission. As a church, we believe God has sent us to seek the welfare of our city, to pray for His Spirit to move, and to declare the good news of Jesus over Carpinteria, the coastlands, and the nations.
Together, we will walk the streets of Carpinteria, praying over homes, businesses, schools, and churches. We will cry out for God to soften hearts, restore prodigals, and bring a great awakening leading up to Easter.
Then we will return to Lions Park for worship, prayer and communion, declaring the victory of Jesus over our city.
This is an opportunity to step into our calling as a sent people and a people of prayer. Let’s go out with faith, believing that God is at work in our city!
EVENT SCHEDULE:
10AM - Gather at Lion's Park for instructions and prayer
10:15AM - Prayer locations distributed and groups sent out
10:15 - 11:15AM - PRAY
11:30AM - Return to Lions Park for Worship, Communion, and Prayer
12:30PM - All are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the part after our worship gathering. Feel free to bring chairs, blankets and other park games/activities.
