Walt is immersing himself learning Spanish and planning to use his language skills to reach out to Hispanics in Carpinteria upon his return. He has been working with the kids at Casa Esperanza (orphanage near La Bufadora) helping with homework, taking them to the beach, to the park, for hikes and bike rides. He has been serving at the local Calvary Chapel but the Lord has been calling to make ministry at the “Casa” be his primary focus.
