Matt, Amy, and Lillian Kappen
October 18th - November 22nd serving in Peru

Matt and Amy Kappen along with their one year old daughter Lillian will be leaving for Peru on October 18th. Matt is currently finishing up his final year of residency at Ventura County Medical Center. They feel as though the medical training both Matt and Amy have received, has prepared them for service in another country, where they can live out the Gospel and help both people’s physical and spiritual needs.

They will be serving with World Medical Mission, a branch of Samaritan’s Purse. They will be based in Curahuasi, Peru for one month. Matt will be working in a hospital called, “Diospi Suyana” which means, “We trust in God.” Matt and Amy are excited to work in a mission hospital that treats patients with both physical and spiritual care. They have also committed to two years of service with World Medical Mission, to begin later in this year. There is a possibility that they will be placed in the same hospital they will be at in Peru. Both Amy and Lillian are joyfully awaiting to see how the Lord will use them in Peru. They are open for whatever the Lord’s will is. The Lord has already blessed little Lillian by providing for her a playmate her same age, in the home they will be staying at.

Please be in prayer for...

  • Matt, as he serves at the hospital and seeks to lift burdens off the regular hospital staff and doctors.
  • The Kappen family to be united in service and love.
  • Lillian to be physically and spiritually protected by the Lord, and for her to have joy and endurance.
  • The Lord to bless the Kappens in their ministry, to cover financial needs, to accomplish much through them as a family and to lead them in peace regarding their future service on the mission field.
