God has called Reality to birth churches; it is not something we ever planned to do or pursued ourselves, it is simply God’s doing. We are really thankful He has allowed us to be a part of His church birthing process. Jesus loves the church; He started it and it belongs to Him (Mt 16:18). So when we partner with Christ in the building of His church we get to enjoy something He enjoys! What a privilege.
We call it church birthing as opposed to planting because it is more labor intensive and relational than the planting metaphor suggests. When God called Reality to birth churches He gave us a strategy that we knew would be slow, radically relationally, and require heavy investment. The process has been all of those things and also wonderful. For Reality growth means slow growth, but our goal is to see healthy churches birthed, and like any birthing process that simply takes time and commitment. We love it.
The church belongs to Jesus and it exists for His glory. May this generation seek to glorify Christ as we love and enjoy Him and the various and beautiful expressions of His Bride.
